Uniform: Whilst not essential the uniform is a vital part of a dancers training. In all cases, correct footwear should be worn. This is as follows:
Junior Ballet Class: Pink leather or satin ballet shoe with elastic
Senior Ballet Class: Leather ballet/soft block ballet shoe with ribbons
Children's Tap Class: Low heel black/white tap shoe with taps on the toes only. Heel taps should only
be fixed when pupils reach examination level.
Modern & Jazz Classes: Bare feet
Street Jazz: Jazz shoes/jazz trainers are optional.
Ballet Uniform: Plum cotton ISTD regulation leotard with circular skirt.
Grade 3 & 4 wear the same with wrap around skirt.
Grade 5 & 6 purple cotton ISTD regulation leotard with skirt.
Intermediate & above , navy cotton ISTD regulation leotard.
X OVER cardigans: Optional
Modern & Tap uniform for all grades up to grade 5: Carnation lycra dress/leotard/leggings , depending on age & level. These are only available from the school office and need to be ordered in advance.
Modern & Tap for grades 6 & above: Black cotton lycra leotard & leggings. Bootlegs can be worn for Tap classes.
Jazz: Black cotton/lycra jazz pants, leotard optional.
Boys: Track pants & loose fitting T-Shirt
Children should wear their hair tied up & off the face for all dance classes.
No jewellery is permitted in the studio
