Uniform
It is vital that the ‘young performer’ be groomed correctly and that
appropriate attire is worn at all times. This includes practise wear and
correct footwear.
Hair should be neat, tied up and off the face.
For ballet lessons hair should be in a classical style i.e. French plaits
or a bun.
Drama and Musical Theatre students should wear comfortable clothing and
are to remove their shoes and socks before entering the studio. Track
pants and T shirts are recommended, jazz shoes are optional.
In the interest of safety, jewellery is not permitted, with the exception
of small stud earrings.
Ballet Uniform up to Grade 2: Plum Cotton ISTD regulation leotard with
circular skirt.
Grades 3and 4: Plum Cotton ISTD regulation leotard with Plum belt.
Grades 5, 6, Intermediate and above: Navy Cotton ISTD regulation leotard
with Navy belt.
Cross Over cardigans: Optional
Junior Ballet Class: Pink leather or satin ballet shoe with elastic.
Ballet socks or seamless ballet tights.
Senior Ballet Class: Leather ballet/soft block ballet shoe with ribbons.
Seamless ballet tights.
Children's Tap Class: Low heel black tap shoe with toe taps only.
Heel taps should only be fixed once students reach examination level.
Jazz: Black Cotton/Lycra jazz pants and leotard.
Boys: Track pants and Fitted T-Shirt
Modern and Jazz Classes: Bare feet
Modern and Tap: Uniform for all grades up to grade 5:
Carnation Lycra dress/leotard/leggings, depending on age and level.
These are only available from the school office and should be ordered in
advance.
Modern and Tap Uniform: Grade 6 and above:
Black Cotton Lycra leotard and leggings.
Bootlegs can be worn for Tap classes.
Street Jazz: Jazz shoes/Jazz trainers
