MARNIE WALLIS - AISTD, AIDTA, CDE - Principal of the
Academy.
Marnie trained at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom and after completing a three
year musical theatre course, graduated with a Dance Diploma and
distinction in her teaching qualifications. She went on to perform
professionally, working in both television and music videos, as well as
performing in theatre as a dancer and singer. She has been teaching and
choreographing at a number of schools over the last ten years, also
teaching GCSE, A Level and B Tech dance. She is a fully qualified fitness
instructor.
ADELE MASON - LISTD
Adele holds an ISTD Licentiate in Imperial Ballet,
Modern Stage and Tap. Adele trained at the South East Theatre School
(renamed Masters College) in Essex, where she took all her teaching
qualifications under the direction of Wendy Headford FISTD and Patricia
Prime FISTD (vice chairman of the ISTD).
NIKKI BOND - AISTD
Nikki began dancing in her home town of Brighton and with the West Street
School, Covent Garden. She completed her training at Ballet Rambert where
she graduated and performed with Ross McKims Moving Visions Dance Company.
Nikki worked as an entertainer in Cyprus and has been involved in various
amateur productions, professional pantomime, and performed in Ata
Productions "Life on Earth" at the London Palladium. Nikki has been
teaching at various schools in the Brighton area.
SALLY BRENNER - AISTD (Dip)
Sally holds the ISTD Diploma in Imperial
Ballet, and following a classical training at Arts Educational School in
Surrey went on to dance professionally in a Ballet company in Germany.
Sally currently teaches at the Sue Merrett School of Dance in Hampshire,
and visits the Adele Academy during the holidays, to coach pupils for
Classical Greek Dance Competitions'.
VIKKI BREMNER - BA Hons, AISTD
Vikki trained at the Roshe School of Dance
and qualified as an ISTD Teacher at the Elise Marie Academy of Performing
Arts. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts First Class honours, Dance and
Culture in June 2005 from the University of Surrey. Vikki was invited to
work with the Contemporary Dance Company 'Odyssey' in Singapore as a full
time professional dancer. At the same time, Vikki taught at the Main and
Youth Company in Singapore. Since returning to the UK, Vikki has taught at
many dance schools in Sussex and Surrey, as well as her post as Dance
Curriculum Coordinator at a Prep School, and working for Brighton's Fringe
Arts Festival. Vikki also choreographs and performs in her own dance
company 'Alwaysneversay'.
MICHAEL BURNIE
Drama and Singing coach. Michael directs and produces for
Brighton Theatre Group and Shine Theatre Group - both in Sussex. Michael
has worked professionally throughout the Country - both on stage and
behind the scenes, and is renowned for putting on the most wonderful
children's theatre workshops.
REBECCA CARTER - AISTD
Rebecca trained at the Pirouette Academy of Dance
in Leicester, and went on to take her ISTD teaching certificate with
Elizabeth Hodgshon FISTD. Rebecca has a BSc degree in Computer Science,
and currently teaches Ballet, Modern and Jazz at numerous schools in
Sussex.
JESS GARDINER - BA Hons FDA
Jess studied at Chichester University and
holds a BATTONS degree in music and a Foundation degree in vocal teaching.
She has performed as both a soloist and in choirs and outside of The
Academy she also teaches at Hurstpierpoint College as well as privately.
We also have various professionally trained visiting teachers
