Adele strives to teach everyone to examination level, and to encourage all pupils onto the stage to "perform". An exercise Adele believes will give every young person the confidence to walk into that interview, deliver that speech, or simply stand up for themselves in that playground!

Adele Mason opened the Acadamy in 1991, fulfilling her dream of running her own dancing schools, thus enabling her to pass onto others her passion for Dance, Music and the Theatre.

Anyone who has been a part of that Academy will agree the School has a happy, relaxed and fun working atmosphere, and it is hoped children will learn to practice and to study together as a team within their varying classes.

Friendships are formed that are different from their daily classmates, often continuing through college and beyond. It is vital that young people are encouraged to develop skills and abilities in the leisure time, and wonderful that they can then go on to share this facility with others - especially if it is exiting and so good for their well being and general health.

An annual "showcase" is staged, and this gives every pupil the chance to step into the limelight, and also to give others the chance to view the school in it's entirety. During this event, money is raised for a local children's charity. Recently, equipment was purchased for the wards at the Royal Alexander's Children's Hospital.

The Academy has grown considerably over the last few years, and now boasts children's Drama and Singing workshops under the direction of Michael Burnie.

Trophies have been won for Classical Ballet groups at the Worthing and Brighton competitive festival, and pupils past and present are currently appearing in roles in the West End show's " Chicago" and "Billy Elliot".
